    Jesse-

There are a lot of sources out there for basic navigation. If enough people are interested, we may have a nav clinic the weekend before the race. The navigation requires a compass and a UTM reader to help you plot coordinates. The maps we use are normally 1:24,000. http://www.backcountryattitude.com is a website that has a lot of info. on navigation.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to email me at tberry_24@hotmail.com.

So the short course has no paddling or rope work? Just wanted to get clarification, thanks.
